Yakkamon is detailing how its creature-collection world will expand as the Ronin-based game approaches early access later this year. The progression system combines hunting, resource gathering and idle automation with region-based exploration, requiring players to develop their roster and equipment as they move into areas containing different materials and creatures.
According to Ronin Network’s latest Yakkamon update, regional progression is intended to move players beyond repeatedly hunting the same monsters by opening new environments, resources and development opportunities. The structure builds on Yakkamon’s broader design as a creature collector in which captured monsters can continue farming and gathering while players are offline.
Yakkamon gameplay might be deeper than you thought.
Beyond hunting and battling monsters, your world keeps expanding through new Regions with more resources, Yakkamon, and new layers of progression.

Regions Drive Yakkamon Progression
Yakkamon’s official gameplay documentation describes a world spanning deserts, volcanoes, fire regions and water environments. Each region contains distinct resources that feed into crafting and progression, while materials collected in easier areas can be used to prepare the equipment required to hunt tougher creatures in later environments.
That structure connects the game’s active and idle systems. Players hunt and capture Yakkamon actively, then assign those creatures to farming and gathering jobs that continue producing resources while they are away. Gathered materials can subsequently be refined into gear used to locate and capture rarer monsters, creating a loop between exploration, automation and creature progression.
The world is also designed to change over time rather than remain static after launch. Day and night cycles alter what players encounter, while new monsters are scheduled to enter the wild every three months, adding a seasonal layer to regional exploration and collection. PvP arena battles provide another use for developed monsters and crafted equipment.
Early Access Begins in Late 2026
Yakkamon remains in Season 0 pre-registration rather than unrestricted public gameplay. Early access is scheduled for November or December 2026 and will roll out in waves based on leaderboard points, with the top 100,000 trainers eligible and higher-ranked players entering first. Sign-up timing itself does not determine priority.
The rollout follows a Yakkamon free NFT mint that began on September 14, part of the project’s pre-launch process for establishing its initial player community. The Genesis collection is separate from the full game opening, with eligible NFTs scheduled to become usable once early access begins. Ronin’s marketplace lists the collection for an October 14 reveal.
Yakkamon enters a Ronin gaming ecosystem that has continued adding new playable releases, including the Aquarium Quest alpha and its creature-battling mechanics. For Yakkamon, the next material milestone is the late-2026 early-access rollout, when its regional progression, idle economy and creature systems can be evaluated through actual player activity rather than pre-registration mechanics alone.
