Binance to Remove 12 BTC Spot Pairs
Binance will remove 12 BTC spot pairs at 03:00 UTC on October 30 before separately delisting 10 Cross Margin pairs three hours later.

Binance will remove 12 Bitcoin-quoted spot trading pairs on October 30 as part of its periodic market review, while a separate round of Cross Margin removals will follow three hours later. According to the exchange’s official spot market announcement, AAVE/BTC, ATOM/BTC, CAKE/BTC, DASH/BTC, ETC/BTC, ICP/BTC, PENDLE/BTC, RENDER/BTC, TAO/BTC, THETA/BTC, XAUT/BTC and XTZ/BTC will stop trading at 03:00 UTC. The underlying assets will remain available through other supported Binance Spot markets.
Binance said it periodically reviews trading pairs using factors including liquidity and trading volume, but it did not identify a specific reason for removing each market. The action therefore represents a pair-level withdrawal rather than a delisting of AAVE, ATOM, RENDER or the other underlying tokens. Similar spot-pair removals in June left the affected assets available through alternative quote currencies.
Trading Bots End With BTC Pair Removal
Spot Trading Bots connected to the 12 markets will also stop operating at 03:00 UTC. Binance advised users to update or cancel affected bots before the cutoff because automated strategies cannot continue once their underlying trading pair disappears. The operational impact is concentrated on orders and automation tied specifically to the discontinued BTC books rather than on deposits, withdrawals or custody of the underlying assets.
That distinction becomes important when comparing pair removals with full asset delistings. Binance previously removed ICX, SCRT and STORJ entirely from spot trading, which introduced separate deadlines for deposits and withdrawals. No equivalent token-level exit schedule appears in the October 30 spot-pair notice, meaning the current action is materially narrower.
Binance has also been adjusting execution controls alongside its listing reviews. Its Spot Price Range Execution Rule was introduced to limit fills at extreme prices during volatile conditions. Pair reviews and execution guardrails address different market-quality risks, with the former determining which order books remain available and the latter controlling how orders execute when prices become dislocated.
Separate Margin Delisting Starts Three Hours Later
A second official Binance notice removes 10 Cross Margin pairs at 06:00 UTC on October 30: RE/USD1, 币安人生/U, KAT/U, BTC/USDS, ETH/USDS, AVNT/U, FET/U, TRUMP/U, APT/U and WLFI/U. These margin changes are separate from the 12 BTC spot-pair removals and carry more direct consequences for open leveraged positions.
At the deadline, Binance will close affected margin positions, conduct automatic settlement and cancel outstanding orders. The exchange estimates that the removal process may take approximately three hours, during which users will not be able to modify those positions. Binance recommends closing positions or moving relevant assets from Margin Accounts to Spot Accounts before 06:00 UTC rather than relying on automatic settlement.
The assets involved can still remain available through other Binance Margin pairs where supported. Removing a particular Cross Margin market does not automatically remove the corresponding cryptocurrency from Binance Margin or Binance Spot, just as eliminating RENDER/BTC or AAVE/BTC does not amount to delisting RENDER or AAVE themselves.
The October 30 schedule therefore contains two distinct market-maintenance events: 12 BTC-denominated spot order books and their associated trading bots close at 03:00 UTC, followed by automatic settlement and removal of 10 Cross Margin pairs at 06:00 UTC. Keeping those processes separate is essential because ordinary spot traders and users carrying leveraged margin positions face different operational consequences.
