CORRECTIONS POLICY

Last updated: May 13, 2026

DigitalCoinJournal corrects material errors when they are identified. Crypto news moves quickly, but speed does not remove the obligation to fix inaccurate reporting.

1. What counts as a correction

A correction may be needed when an article contains:

  • an incorrect name, figure, date or quote;
  • a misdescribed legal, technical or market event;
  • wrong attribution;
  • a broken distinction between confirmed fact and allegation;
  • misleading context;
  • an outdated claim that materially changes the reader’s understanding;
  • an omitted disclosure that should have appeared in the article.

Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or style changes can be fixed silently when they do not alter meaning.

2. How to report an error

Send correction requests to:

[Contact Page]

Please include:

  • the article URL;
  • the sentence or claim at issue;
  • the reason it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • supporting evidence, preferably from a primary source;
  • your name and contact details.

Correction requests written as legal threats, spam campaigns or promotional demands may receive limited review.

3. Review process

The editorial team will assess the request against the published article, available sources and any new evidence.

DigitalCoinJournal can:

  • correct the article;
  • add an editor’s note;
  • update the article with new information;
  • clarify wording;
  • decline the request if the article is already accurate;
  • remove content in exceptional legal or safety situations.

4. Correction notes

Where a correction changes the substance of an article, a note should be added explaining what changed.

A typical correction note may state:

“Correction: An earlier version of this article misstated [issue]. The article has been updated.”

For broader updates, the note may say:

“Update: This article has been updated to add [new development/context].”

5. Right of reply

People, companies or projects mentioned in a story can send a response to [Contact Page]. DigitalCoinJournal is not required to publish every response but will consider relevant, factual and proportionate replies.

6. Article removal

DigitalCoinJournal does not remove accurate editorial content simply because it later becomes inconvenient to a person, company or project.

Removal may be considered where there is a legal requirement, serious safety concern, proven fabrication, duplicated publication, rights issue or other exceptional reason.
