Uniswap Leads 24-Hour Stablecoin TVL Growth

Uniswap led a 24-hour stablecoin TVL snapshot with $41.7M in growth as the top six DeFi venues collectively added $111M.

Uniswap recorded the largest increase in stablecoin DeFi total value locked across a recent 24-hour snapshot, adding $41.7 million as capital shifted through major decentralized trading and lending venues. According to RWA Foundation data attributed to Token Terminal, the six leading protocols in the snapshot collectively added $111 million in stablecoin TVL, with Uniswap accounting for roughly 38% of that increase.

The ranking placed Spark second with a $26.6 million increase, followed closely by Aave at $26.4 million. Aero added $6.3 million, Kamino gained $6.1 million and Orca increased by $3.9 million. The figures measure changes in stablecoin value held within protocols during a specific 24-hour window rather than trading volume, unique deposits or newly issued stablecoins. Uniswap’s own Explore interface separately tracks protocol-wide TVL and trading activity, but those broader metrics should not be treated as identical to Token Terminal’s stablecoin-specific dataset.

Uniswap Growth Reflects Liquidity, Not Trading Volume

The distinction is important because Uniswap can process large trading volumes without producing an equivalent increase in assets remaining inside its pools. The protocol has recently generated more than $15 billion in weekly trading volume, but volume measures assets exchanged while TVL measures capital remaining deployed in liquidity positions. A dollar can contribute repeatedly to trading volume while counting only once toward liquidity at a given snapshot.

Uniswap’s current architecture also spans several protocol versions and multiple networks. Its official interface shows roughly $2.86 billion in total protocol TVL, with approximately $1.51 billion in v3, $825 million in v4 and $530 million in v2 at the latest available reading. Those totals include more than stablecoins and therefore cannot be used to reconstruct the $41.7 million stablecoin increase reported by Token Terminal.

Stablecoin liquidity can also behave differently across protocol types. A lending market such as Aave uses deposited stablecoins to support borrowing, while Uniswap positions them inside automated market-making pools. Recent PYUSD activity on Aave demonstrated how higher utilization can coexist with a smaller deposit base. More stablecoin TVL therefore does not automatically mean higher utilization, stronger yields or greater trading demand.

Rolling Windows Can Reverse Protocol Rankings Quickly

The snapshot also explains why apparently conflicting rankings appeared around the same period. Separate RWA Foundation data circulated with Morpho adding approximately $100 million in stablecoin TVL over another 24-hour window. That figure should not be placed directly beside Uniswap’s $41.7 million without matching the observation timestamps and methodology, because rolling 24-hour comparisons can change substantially as large deposits enter or leave the calculation.

The broader stablecoin backdrop has also changed since September, when aggregate supply reached approximately $310.6 billion. DeFiLlama now places the market near $297.94 billion, down about 1.14% over seven days. Stablecoin TVL can therefore rise inside individual DeFi protocols even while aggregate stablecoin supply contracts, as existing balances move between wallets, exchanges, networks and applications.

Uniswap’s $41.7 million increase is best understood as a short-term liquidity allocation signal rather than evidence of a sector-wide inflow. The snapshot confirms that Uniswap attracted the largest stablecoin TVL increase among the six measured venues during that particular 24-hour period, while the durability of that shift depends on whether liquidity remains deployed across subsequent observation windows.
