Binance Alpha added MarsCoin to its BNB Smart Chain listings on July 30, opening market and limit-order trading through Binance Wallet. The addition gave the token wider visibility inside Binance’s early-stage asset discovery interface, but it did not amount to a listing on the exchange’s main spot market.
The asset uses the contract address 0xFe189E97832DA1573E4E4Ff034F4fFC3a15c7777 and trades under the MARSCOIN symbol. Its Binance Alpha debut coincided with a rapid increase in price and turnover, as traders moved into a market originally launched on Flap with the SpaceX-linked SPCXB asset as its trading pair.
Price Rally Pushes Valuation Past $40 Million
CoinMarketCap recorded a July 31 high of $0.04578, compared with an all-time low of $0.003015 two days earlier. With one billion tokens reported in circulation, the peak price placed MarsCoin’s market capitalization near $45.8 million before the asset retreated toward the mid-$30 million range.
The move represented a gain of more than 1,400% from the recorded low, although shorter measurement windows produced smaller percentage changes. The difference between snapshots illustrates how quickly market-cap estimates can shift for newly traded tokens, particularly when liquidity remains limited relative to turnover.
MarsCoin’s original SPCXB pairing differs from the stablecoin-denominated markets commonly used for early-stage tokens. The structure connects its initial liquidity with an equity-linked blockchain asset, but MarsCoin itself does not provide ownership, voting rights or any direct claim on SpaceX.
The asset should also not be confused with Marscoin, the separate proof-of-work cryptocurrency launched in 2014 under the MARS ticker. The Binance Alpha asset is a newer BNB Chain token with a different contract, supply and trading history, despite the similarity between their names.
Alpha Visibility Does Not Guarantee a Spot Listing
Binance describes Alpha as a platform for highlighting early-stage Web3 projects selected partly through market trends and community interest. The company explicitly states that inclusion is neither an endorsement nor a guarantee of a future Binance Exchange listing, even when an asset becomes tradable through the Alpha interface.
That distinction leaves MarsCoin exposed to risks associated with newly launched onchain assets, including abrupt price reversals, shallow liquidity and concentrated ownership. A temporary valuation above $40 million does not establish durable demand or sustained market depth, especially after a rally measured in several hundred percentage points.
BscScan confirms that the token contract is verified on BNB Smart Chain, while CoinMarketCap identifies Binance Alpha among its markets and reports a one-billion-token circulating supply. Those records verify the asset and its trading footprint but do not assess its investment quality or economic fundamentals.
The confirmed development is that MarsCoin has joined Binance Alpha and can be traded through supported Alpha order types. Its longer-term relevance will depend on liquidity, holder distribution and continued volume, not on the initial price spike or expectations of a main Binance spot listing.
