TRON Stablecoin Settlement Reaches $2.21T in Q3

TRON reports $2.21T in stablecoin settlement volume during Q3 2026, with 1.1B transactions and 18M average monthly active addresses.

TRON processed $2.21 trillion in stablecoin settlement during the third quarter of 2026 as dollar-denominated assets continued to account for a substantial portion of activity on the network. Average daily stablecoin settlement reached $24.05 billion, up 3.9% from the previous quarter, while the blockchain also crossed $30 trillion in cumulative transaction volume during September.

According to TRON DAO Research’s State of TRON Q3 2026 report, quarterly stablecoin settlement totaled $2.2126 trillion, 5.1% above Q2’s $2.106 trillion. The $30 trillion milestone measures lifetime transaction volume across TRON and should not be interpreted as cumulative stablecoin settlement or new capital entering the network.

Stablecoin balances also expanded. Combined USDT and USDD supply on TRON reached $93.88 billion at quarter-end, an increase of $4.88 billion, or 5.5%, from Q2. Supply residing on the blockchain and settlement volume measure different things: the same stablecoin liquidity can move repeatedly and generate transaction volume many times larger than its outstanding balance.

Active Addresses Rise as Transactions Hold Steady

TRON recorded approximately 1.10 billion transactions during Q3, broadly unchanged from the second quarter and 33.7% above the 820 million recorded a year earlier. Meanwhile, the average rolling 30-day active-address count increased 9.8% from 16.4 million to 18 million, indicating that more addresses interacted with the network even as aggregate transaction frequency remained relatively stable.

The metric does not represent 18 million individual people. A person, business, exchange or automated system can control multiple addresses, while one address can also serve multiple users through custodial infrastructure. New-address creation actually declined 3.5% during the quarter to a daily average of 178,641. The data therefore show a broader active-address base, not a verified count of unique or newly acquired users.

TRON’s stablecoin environment also continued to diversify beyond USDT. Ethena recently expanded USDe and sUSDe to TRON through Stargate, while shifting USDT supply between Ethereum and TRON has altered the distribution of Tether liquidity across its two largest blockchain deployments. Those developments expand the stablecoin infrastructure available on TRON but do not independently demonstrate additional payment volume or new capital inflows.

Liquidity Expands Alongside Stablecoin Settlement

Total value locked including staking reached $28.21 billion, up only 0.2% quarter over quarter, while DeFi TVL excluding staking stood at $13.05 billion. TRX staking accounted for $15.31 billion, followed by JustLend DAO at $7.36 billion. The relatively small quarterly TVL increase contrasts with the 5.1% rise in stablecoin settlement, showing that transaction value can expand without an equivalent increase in assets locked in protocols.

Financial infrastructure around the network also broadened during Q3. Securitize has already deployed Hamilton Lane’s HLSCOPE tokenized private-credit fund on TRON, while Anchorage Digital added TRX staking and custody for TRC-20 assets and Bitnomial introduced TRX futures. Those integrations increase the range of institutional services connected to TRON, although their availability does not by itself establish production-scale institutional adoption.

Underlying infrastructure remained part of that expansion. TRON recently issued a mandatory Anaxagoras node upgrade aimed at execution and node-performance improvements as applications continue relying on the network for high-volume settlement.

The clearest Q3 signal is the combination of rising stablecoin value transferred with broadly flat transaction counts. TRON moved $2.21 trillion in stablecoins during the quarter while maintaining roughly 1.10 billion transactions, suggesting more value was settled through an established level of network activity rather than through a comparable surge in transaction frequency.
