Magic Eden Captures 87% of Tracked Solana NFT Volume

Magic Eden accounted for approximately 87% of Solana NFT trading volume in a recent seven-day marketplace snapshot, maintaining a wide lead over Tensor, OpenSea and Orbis. The four marketplaces generated about 10,400 SOL in combined trading volume during the measured period, with nearly nine out of every ten SOL tracked by the dataset flowing through Magic Eden. The figures point to a highly concentrated marketplace landscape despite continued competition for Solana collectors and traders.

According to data published by ChadbotApp, Tensor ranked second with approximately 10% of the seven-day volume, followed by OpenSea at 2% and Orbis at 1%. The 87% figure represents Magic Eden’s share within Chadbot’s tracked marketplace set rather than an independently verified measurement of every NFT transaction across Solana. Chadbot currently aggregates activity from those four venues through its Solana NFT trading terminal.

Magic Eden Widens Its Lead Over Tensor

The gap is substantial within the current snapshot. Applied to the reported 10,400 SOL total, an 87% share corresponds to roughly 9,050 SOL of trading activity for Magic Eden, compared with approximately 1,040 SOL represented by Tensor’s 10% share. The data shows a pronounced concentration of recent secondary-market activity around Magic Eden, while the remaining marketplaces collectively account for about 13% of the measured volume.

Historical data provides context, although it should not be treated as evidence that the present market structure has remained unchanged. Messari’s State of Solana Q1 2025 recorded $62 million in quarterly NFT trading volume for Magic Eden, down 27% quarter over quarter, compared with $26 million for Tensor after a 77% decline. Magic Eden was already the largest venue in that dataset, but those figures describe Q1 2025 and are not directly comparable with a seven-day SOL-denominated snapshot from September 2026.

Solana’s NFT market was also considerably more active during that earlier period. Messari reported average daily NFT trading volume of $1.8 million in Q1 2025, down 33% from the preceding quarter. The current 10,400 SOL figure therefore says more about how recent volume is distributed between marketplaces than about whether the NFT market itself is expanding or contracting over longer time horizons. Different currencies, time windows and market conditions prevent a direct volume comparison.

Solana Becomes More Central to Magic Eden

Magic Eden’s current position comes after a strategic narrowing of its marketplace footprint. In 2026, the company said it would discontinue marketplace support for Bitcoin and EVM chains while retaining its Solana Marketplace and Packs as it shifted toward products spanning finance and entertainment. That decision leaves Solana as the core blockchain for Magic Eden’s continuing NFT marketplace operation, although the timing alone does not establish that the strategic shift caused its current market share.

Competition has not disappeared. Chadbot’s platform continues to aggregate listings and activity from Magic Eden, Tensor, OpenSea and Orbis, allowing traders to interact across multiple Solana venues. A high weekly share for one marketplace does not necessarily translate into exclusive control over listings, liquidity or users, particularly when aggregation tools can route collectors across competing markets.

The next useful metric will be whether Magic Eden sustains a similar share across longer measurement windows. Thirty-day volume, transaction counts, unique traders and collection-level liquidity would provide stronger evidence of durable marketplace concentration than a single seven-day snapshot. For now, Chadbot’s data shows Magic Eden holding a clear lead among the four Solana NFT venues it tracks, with Tensor remaining its closest competitor and OpenSea and Orbis occupying much smaller shares.
