TON NFT Volume Hit $9.7M in June 2025 Peak

TON recorded one of its strongest NFT trading days on June 9, 2025, when reported daily volume reached approximately $9.7 million. The TON Foundation said the network represented 62% of measured NFT market activity that day, outpacing Ethereum by roughly three times and Solana by eight times under the methodology used in its ecosystem report.
According to the TON Ecosystem Update for June 2025, cumulative NFT sales across TON had surpassed $300 million by the end of the reporting period, with more than 2 million NFTs traded. The figures placed digital collectibles among the network’s more visible areas of activity during a period of expanding integration between TON and Telegram-based assets.
The $9.7 million figure requires an important methodological qualification. TON Foundation’s dataset combined on-chain activity with off-chain marketplace volume for TON, meaning the comparison with Ethereum, Solana and other networks was not necessarily based on identical transaction coverage across every blockchain.
TON’s NFT Peak Was Broader Than One Collection
The June report does not identify a single NFT collection as the cause of the June 9 spike. Available official material therefore supports a network-level surge in reported trading but not an attribution of that volume to Resistance Dog or another specific collection.
Resistance Dog, in particular, cannot explain the June 2025 activity because Telegram released the collectible later as part of its 12th-anniversary gift drop. The collection subsequently developed substantial secondary-market activity, including more recent Resistance Dog trading and crafting behavior, but that later market history is separate from TON’s June 2025 NFT peak.
TON had already been reporting stronger NFT participation before June. Its May ecosystem update said the network had ranked first in daily active NFT traders from May 12 under its tracked dataset, with a peak of 10,300 traders. That earlier participation provides a more credible backdrop for the June volume increase than retroactively attributing it to an asset that had not yet launched.
The Foundation also highlighted Telegram-native collectibles and marketplace activity as important contributors to the ecosystem. The broader trend was the expansion of Telegram-linked digital assets across TON rather than evidence that one collection single-handedly transformed network liquidity.
Headline NFT Volume Needs Concentration Context
Large daily NFT figures can also provide a distorted picture when activity is concentrated in a small number of expensive transactions. Digital Coin Journal has previously documented how a single $55 million Pandora transaction reshaped weekly NFT market totals, demonstrating that aggregate dollar volume does not by itself reveal how broadly demand is distributed among buyers and collections.
The same analytical caution applies to more modest recoveries. Recent NFT market data has shown that rising volume does not automatically establish renewed collector participation without wallet-level evidence, transaction counts and information about the concentration of activity. Volume, liquidity, buyer count and organic demand remain separate measurements.
TON Foundation’s June figures nevertheless document a material period of activity for the ecosystem. A $9.7 million daily peak, more than $300 million in cumulative sales and over 2 million NFTs traded established meaningful marketplace scale, even if the composition of that volume and the inclusion of off-chain venues limit direct comparisons with other networks.
The most defensible reading of the period is therefore narrower than the original narrative. TON experienced an exceptional NFT trading spike in June 2025, but the available evidence does not support attributing it to Resistance Dog or treating the headline figure as purely on-chain volume.
