Wells Fargo files trademark for WFUSD and signals a broader move into stablecoins
Wells Fargo has taken a notable step toward digital-asset infrastructure by filing a trademark application for “WFUSD” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on January 15, 2025, and expanding that filing as recently as March 9, 2026.
