Securitize Signs Tokenization MoU With Dubai VARA

Securitize and VARA Dubai MoU signing ceremony with two officials exchanging documents at a desk

Securitize has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority to support the development of regulated tokenization and digital asset infrastructure in the emirate. The agreement creates a framework for Securitize and VARA to collaborate on tokenized financial products operating within Dubai’s regulatory environment.

According to an official announcement from Securitize, the partnership will give licensed market participants access to the company’s experience in global tokenization infrastructure. The collaboration is intended to support projects initiated or facilitated by VARA while expanding practical use of regulated digital financial infrastructure in Dubai.

Securitize and VARA Target Institutional Tokenization

The MoU covers several areas, including ecosystem development, institutional participation, research, education and infrastructure innovation. Both organizations plan to share expertise aimed at increasing institutional engagement with tokenized assets, while supporting companies and professionals operating within Dubai’s virtual asset sector.

Research and market education will also form part of the cooperation. Securitize and VARA intend to pursue data-driven initiatives examining how tokenized financial products are evolving. The objective is to strengthen understanding of tokenization while keeping new products aligned with the emirate’s regulatory framework.

Infrastructure development represents another core component of the agreement. The partners will explore ways to strengthen the technology supporting regulated tokenized markets, focusing on the systems required to issue, manage and operate blockchain-based financial products within a supervised environment.

Dubai Expands Regulated Digital Asset Infrastructure

Securitize CEO and co-founder Carlos Domingo said regulatory clarity plays a central role in determining where tokenized capital markets can develop. The MoU aligns Securitize’s institutional tokenization expertise with Dubai’s ambition to build a regulated hub for digital financial markets.

The agreement comes as real-world asset tokenization continues to bring traditional financial instruments onto blockchain infrastructure. Unlike purely speculative crypto products, RWA tokenization focuses on representing conventional financial assets through programmable digital rails while preserving relevant legal and compliance requirements.

The partnership does not announce a specific tokenized product or investment offering. Instead, the MoU establishes a cooperative framework through which Securitize and VARA can support future regulated tokenization initiatives, leaving individual projects subject to the applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.

The arrangement adds another institutional infrastructure provider to its developing virtual asset ecosystem. Its longer-term significance will depend on whether the collaboration translates into operational tokenized markets and broader institutional participation under VARA supervision.
