Uniswap processed more than $15 billion in trading volume over seven days, reinforcing its position as one of the largest decentralized exchanges by recent activity. The protocol said the total exceeded that of any competing DEX during the same period.
DefiLlama’s Uniswap dashboard places seven-day volume at approximately $15.8 billion, supporting the scale of the milestone. The figure captures a strong week of trading across Uniswap’s liquidity infrastructure rather than establishing a permanent run rate.
Trading Activity Remains Concentrated on Uniswap
The volume shows continued demand for Uniswap’s decentralized execution venues. Traders are still routing substantial capital through its pools despite competition from other automated market makers and chain-specific exchanges.

High weekly turnover can improve fee generation and capital utilization for active liquidity providers. Its practical value, however, depends on which pools generated the activity and whether liquidity remained deep enough to support efficient execution.
Uniswap did not disclose the asset, chain or user composition behind the volume. Without that breakdown, it remains unclear whether the increase came from broad market participation or concentrated trading around a limited number of tokens and networks.
Sustainability Depends on Volume Quality
The $15 billion threshold should be treated as a recent market snapshot rather than proof of durable growth. Weekly DEX volume can rise quickly during periods of volatility, token launches or speculative rotation before returning to lower levels.
The stronger long-term signal would be consistent volume accompanied by retained liquidity, recurring users and protocol fees. Those metrics would help determine whether the latest activity reflects sustained demand rather than a temporary trading burst.
Uniswap’s approximately $15.8 billion weekly volume confirms heavy usage across its liquidity venues. The next useful indicators will be chain-level distribution, unique trader activity, fee generation and whether weekly turnover remains elevated across subsequent periods.
